What to Bring: Documentation by Status
Mitsubishi Motors North America requires proof of military status. Find your situation below — one matching document is all it takes for most categories. Redact your SSN, driver license number, and birthdate from anything you submit.
Active Duty or Active Reserve
Provide one of the following:
- A current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), dated within the last 30 days
- A Department of Defense letter from your Commanding Officer verifying active duty status
- A printout from the SCRA website verifying current active duty status
Retired U.S. Military
Provide one of the following:
- A Retiree Account Statement (RAS) from within the last 12 months
- Your most recent 1099-R, or a CRSC (Combat Related Special Compensation) or CRDP (Concurrent Retirement Disability Pay) statement from Defense Finance and Accounting Service, U.S. Military Retirement Pay
Grey-Area Retirees
If you don't yet have a RAS, provide both:
- The DOD letter notifying Eligibility for Retired Pay at Age 60
- Your current driver's license
Grey-area retirees over 60 must also include a RAS from within the last 12 months.
Recently Separated Veterans
Veterans within 12 months of separation from active service provide DD Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty.
Military Spouses
If only the spouse is listed on the purchase or lease agreement, provide the service member's proof of military status (any document above) plus a copy of your marriage certificate.
Surviving Spouses
Provide proof of the service member's U.S. Military status as described above, or their DD Form 214, along with the marriage certificate.
